Weighed in front of you
You watch the load go on the scales and you see the reading yourself. Nothing gets weighed out the back.

Outside Melbourne
We collect large loads from factories and industrial sites in Bacchus Marsh, Ballarat, Bendigo, Castlemaine, Daylesford, Geelong, Latrobe Valley, Macedon Ranges, Maryborough, Seymour, Shepparton, Torquay, Wallan and Warragul. The truck has to come back full, so ring with what there is and roughly how much, and we will tell you straight whether it is worth the trip.
Wherever you are
You watch the load go on the scales and you see the reading yourself. Nothing gets weighed out the back.
Settled the moment the weight is agreed. No invoice to wait on and nobody to chase next week.
Two hours after most Melbourne yards shut, 5pm on Saturday, and after hours by arrangement if you ring ahead.
A boot load is weighed the same way as a truck load. Factories and industrial sites, we collect.
Questions
Anything not here, ring and ask. It costs nothing to find out.
Call 0452 220 422If it is in Greater Melbourne, yes. Anybody can bring scrap metal to the yard in Braybrook, with any amount and no appointment, and factories and industrial sites anywhere in Greater Melbourne can have it collected. The suburbs on this page are the ones people ask about most, not the limit. Not on the list? Ring and ask.
Ours is at 159 Ashley St, Braybrook, in Melbourne’s west, open 7am to 6:30pm on weekdays and 7am to 5pm on Saturday. From the western suburbs it is a short run; from the other side of the city, copper, brass, cable and aluminium are usually worth the drive. Ring or send a photo and we will tell you whether yours is.
No. Pickup is for factories and industrial sites, wherever they are in Greater Melbourne. From a house, bring it to the yard: there is no minimum at the gate. A demolition or building site with more than a tonne of metal can have a bin instead.
For large loads from factories and industrial sites, yes, in the regional towns listed on this page. The truck has to come back full, so ring with what there is and roughly how much, and we will tell you straight whether it is worth the trip.
No. The price is set by the metal, its grade, how clean it is and the weight, at the prices per kg we publish, and it is the same for every suburb. Where you are decides how the metal gets to us, not what it is worth.
Ring us and we will tell you what it is worth and whether it is worth bringing in. Takes two minutes and it costs you nothing to ask.
